It is International No
Diet DAY today May 6th, 2014!
According to
Wikepedia: “International No Diet Day
(INDD) is an annual celebration of body acceptance, including fat
acceptance and body
shape diversity. This day is also dedicated to promoting a healthy life style
with a focus on health
at any size and in
raising awareness of the potential dangers of dieting.”
The scary
statistics show that 50% of girls in grade 4 and 90% of adolescents diet. 5% of adolescents who diet will develop an
eating disorder. Boys are no longer
immune either, as the rate of eating disorders has increased for them.
